I want everyone to know that I have just survived 3 nights in a spooky Roman monastery/basilica, which has been partly converted into a hotel. According to the latest, must-have issue of the ‘Community Impact’ newspaper, KFC offered to fix certain road damage in exchange for a stencil of the company’s logo painted on each filled pothole. The city of Austin declined the offer. Can you imagine?

Via Rollingstone.com: Really strange supergroup alert: The Smashing Pumpkins’ James Iha, middle Hanson brother Taylor Hanson, 57-year-old Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos and Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger have joined forces to form Tinted Windows. […] the band has already recorded their debut album, due out in the spring, and plan to play SXSW on March 20th.
